Every morning, Tini heads to the park with a mission…Not to chase tennis balls. Not to rack up steps. Tini goes to see her friends.

A tiny Yorkshire Terrier with a giant personality (you may remember her as Sugarplum who was found alone after her family passed away), makes sure everyone knows she’s arrived. Neighbors call out her name, familiar faces stop for scratches, and dogs become friends.

Tini has become something of a local celebrity. “She’s totally there for the social interactions,” her adopter, Sharon, says with laughter.

One friendship became especially meaningful…

It started with a curious sniff and a shared walk. Despite their dramatic size difference, they became inseparable. Tini bonded with a gentle Great Dane named Lottie (rescued by Brother Wolf as a struggling senior dog who had just given birth).

Their morning walks became more than a routine–they became best friend reunions. Tini and Lottie had found each other, and in the process, their people found friendship too.

Two rescued dogs. Two second chances. Two lives forever changed.

Lottie lived up to everything people imagine when they think of a gentle giant. She loved affection. She danced with excitement every morning when she heard her leash. And during thunderstorms, she climbed as close to her mom as she possibly could.

Lottie filled the home with a quiet, comforting presence.

“I’m so grateful that she was able to live out her final days as the princess she was always meant to be,” her adopter shared. “I know in my heart that this special girl was finally happy, safe, and loved.“

When Lottie passed away, friends at the park mourned alongside Lottie’s family. The morning walks weren’t quite the same.

But that’s the remarkable thing about love.

It doesn’t end when the story does. It lives on in the routines created, the friendships inspired, and the people whose lives these dogs’ inseparable moments quietly changed forever.

Today, Tini still makes her rounds at the park each morning. She still greets every new face–even while missing nose touches with her friend Lottie.

And at home she still protects her family from vacuum cleaners, rolling suitcases, and the occasional windshield wiper with unwavering determination. “You’re not by yourself if you have a dog,” says Sharon. “Someone is thrilled to see you when you get home. It changes your life.”

Because of compassionate Brother Wolf supporters, Tini found her family, and Lottie spent her final months surrounded by love instead of uncertainty.

Thank you for making friendships like theirs possible. Thank you for giving animals not only a second chance—but the opportunity to live lives so full of love that their stories continue long after adoption.

Some stories begin at Brother Wolf. The very best ones keep unfolding for years to come.
