Our Wishlist

We receive no government funding and rely on the kindness of you, or friends, to help feed and care for our 550+ orphaned animals. Donations are gratefully accepted at our Adoption Center at 31 Glendale Avenue in Asheville, open daily from 9am-7pm.

We happily accept dry food, canned food, and treat donations for all our dogs, cats, kittens, rabbits, and other small animals! We will take recently-opened, fresh bags of food, as well as prescription food.

Cleaning Supplies:

We always need cleaning supplies! Here are our most needed items:

  • Bleach
  • Paper towels
  • Laundry detergent
  • Trash bags, 13 and 39 gallon, heavy duty

For Our Dogs:

Mama dog and puppies

  • Leashes
  • Dog and puppy food, dry and canned
  • No-slip collars
  • Easy walk harnesses
  • Dog toys (Nylabones, Kongs, squeaky toys, etc)
  • Peanut butter
  • Towels, blankets, sheets, and washable pet beds
  • Crates and kennels
  • Unexpired medications

For Our Cats:

  • Litter, any brand
  • Cat and kitten food, dry and canned; non-fish flavors preferred (here’s why)
  • Cage scratchers from
  • Scratching posts, catnip, and toys
  • Towels, blankets, sheets, and washable pet beds
  • Ping Ping Balls
  • Carriers
  • Unexpired medications

For Small Animals:

  • Timothy Hay
  • Rabbit Pellets (Timothy hay based)
  • Small animal bedding
  • Recycled paper litter, non-scented (like Yesterday’s News)
  • Non toxic hard plastic small toys (baby toys like rattles, keys, etc work great)
  • Large or small fleece blankets (for burrowing)

 For Our Babies:

  • Milk Replacement Powder (Breeder’s Edge brand preferred; KMR/GNC brand (available in pet stores), and goat’s milk also accepted!

  • Elongated nipples for our tiniest kittens
  • Heating pads (the kind that don’t shut off)
  • SnuggleSafe discs
  • Shallow cardboard/shirt boxes
  • Non-clumping, non-clay litter
  • Non-flavored Pedialyte
  • Meat-only baby food (no onion or spices)
  • Sheets and Blankets (fleece and very soft acrylic the best)
  • Specialty Items:
    • Nebulizer
    • Digital Scales
    • Incubators
    • Bottle Warmer (the kind used for human baby bottles)

Adoption Center Needs:

It takes a lot of hard work to operate a rescue as large as Brother Wolf. These specialty items would make our day to day activities so much easier and give us more time to care for the animals. We would be thrilled to accept a donation of any items similar to the ones linked here – used condition perfectly acceptable!

  • Gently used laptops and multi-page scanners. Both would be greatly appreciated for data entry into our animal management system.

  • Scientific Microscope (10x/40x/100x; binocular preferred, not required)
