Underdogs

Usually a dog or cat we bring in is adopted in a few weeks or a month or two; some go the next day! But then there are the pets we have in our shelter or foster homes for many months to more than a year. Some pets need a special home - without children or other pets, or a quiet, low energy family - and sometimes the pets have special medical needs. Then there are breed and color issues that make an otherwise perfecty adotable pet take a lot longer than others to find their forever homes. If you've thought about adding a new four-legged member to your family, please consider some of these great pets!

Festus

Considering he was chained outside for 4 years, Festus is an amazingly good dog. He is a super sweet dog that would need a big fenced yard and love the company of another dog. He is about 4 years old. He is good with children and would be a great dog for an active family. He is very good on leash - calmly smelling and sniffing the world. If you like to hike, run or just walk often, he would be the best dog. Come to the shelter and spend time with him!

Grady

I'm Grady, a sweet and energetic boy who loves to play. I spent the first years of my life on a chain and I'll need someone who is patient and will help me navigate my new surroundings and experiences. Luckily, I'm eager to learn and I have all the potential in the world. I really am a wonderful and deserving boy (and handsome, too!). I am actually very good on a leash and love to take hikes and go on runs with volunteers. I am also very relaxed while riding in a car. Please come to Brother Wolf Animal Rescue to meet me. I am definitely worth it.

Nakita

I'm Nakita, and I think I am a pretty good looking girl of one and a half years. Somehow I was hit by a car, but I have fully recovered now. People here say I play very well with other dogs. Because I am exuberant, they say I should go to a home with another big dog to play with or an owner who will hike, run or play frisbee with me. They also say I am smart, love to play with toys and am good at entertaining myself. I am here everyday, so why don't you visit?

Tubby

Hi there!! My name is Tubby, and I am a pretty tall boy! I'm not overweight, so I'm not sure why they call me that. Anyway, I have personality plus, and my coat is a very nice pattern and color. I am about 2 years old, and it takes me a while to warm up to strangers. I would love to go to a house with a fenced yard and another dog to play with. I would do best in a home without small children. I could stay outside all day if you let me, but I'll snooze on my dog bed all night. Come see me at the shelter, so I can say hi!
