Tsali

BWAR recently received the following email from a woman who adopted a dog from us last year:

"Just to update you about Tsali, he is having a BALL. He loves to play and run and goes almost everywhere I do when I am not working. He gets the reputation of being "the happy one" every time we got to the dog park, because of his happy-go-lucky, playful demeanor. That dog was BORN to run! He and I went on a mountain bike ride a couple of nights ago and he ran steadily for about 4 miles at 18-20 miles an hour, rested and drank in a creek, then trotted with me, right alongside my bike, the rest of the way back to the car at a slower pace. He is always perky, happy, and he listens very well.

He's also a very smart dog...in fact, the other night, our half-blind, clawless cat Richie got out of the house. We searched for 2 hours looking for him and had given up. We live in the country and Richie would have been coyote bait had it not been for Tsali, who all of a sudden started barking frantically to get our attention at one corner of his fenced yard... we ran over there and sure enough, there was Richie on the other side of the fence, hiding behind a tree in the woods.

I'm considering enrolling Tsali in dog agility classes, depending on if I can make it happen with my schedule . He is extremely athletic (he catches balls and frisbees in mid-air and plays and moves like an athlete - a dog breeder suggested that I look into agility when he was watching Tsali play at the dog park) and he is getting more and more muscular and fit with all of his running and playing."
