Northern Transport Program
Sadly, in the South our euthanasia rates, particularly among 'hunting dog’ breeds, is far higher than areas in the North. By partnering with Northern rescues where homes are easier to find, we’re able to save the lives of hundreds of dogs and puppies who would otherwise be euthanized.
What it Costs:
Vaccines: $30
Spay/Neuter: $55
Microchip: $10
Deworming, Flea/Tick Treatment, Heartworm Prevention: $30
Heartworm Test: $15
Health Certificate for Travel: $10
Van Rental, fuel, tolls, and employee time to drive: $50 per animal
How You Can Help
You can give a southern dog a reason to hope. Your donation provides us the resources to open up another spot on a rescue transport. Every dog and puppy on these life-saving trips is healthy, vaccinated, microchipped, spayed or neutered, and examined by a veterinarian. Your donation in any amount is truly appreciated.
Corporate Sponsorship
Would you or your business like to sponsor a life-saving transport? Sponsorship is a very tangible, public way of showing the community how much you care about animals in need. We are grateful for generous local businesses and individuals who see the value of these precious dogs and puppies, and want to make a real difference in the lives of so many animals.
Each transport costs around $1,000, with 15-20 dogs and puppies making the trip. This includes the cost of van rental, fuel, tolls, and driver. In addition, all animals are full vetted, a portion of which is reimbursed by the receiving rescue group.
