Hobie
"I first found Brother Wolf Canine Rescue online, while doing some research into adopting another dog. It was obvious that this organization was making sure that their animals were being placed in loving, safe, responsible homes.I was impressed by the extent of the screening process.
I went to foster mom Flo's house to play with one of the many pups that I saw online. When I got there, I saw this little brindley fellow in the back of the pack. He wasn't jumping all over me like the others, but the well-mannered look that he was giving me said, "I'd like you to take me home with you, please."
I introduced Hobie to my other dog Marlee, who had been waiting in the car. She's very hyper, so it was essential to find a good personality match. She immediately took on the big sister role. They smelled each other for a while. He took her bone. Then she wandered off towards the other dogs. Yep, this mellow little fellow was going to be part of our family. Within a few days, Hobie could walk on a leash, sit on command, ask to go outside, and give me his paw. He's so eager to please and to learn. Hobie's been with us close to 2 months now. He's brought much love into my life.
I adore watching both dogs enjoying each other - wrestling, racing through the house, Marlee protectively watching Hobie play with the other dogs in the neighborhood, Hobie always either climbing on his big sister, sleeping on her, or following her around.
Brother Wolf Canine Rescue is an amazing organization that has what it takes to make sure that homeless dogs don't end up back in the shelter after they grow out of their cute puppy stage. Thank you for everything!"
