Help Me Heal Fund
$17,000 per month.
It's a daunting figure.
Almost half of the over 300 pets in Brother Wolf Animal Rescue's care every day will need more than nutritious food, a comfy bed, and the plentiful TLC we provide in our Adoption Center and in foster homes. They'll need medicine for illness, surgery for injuries, and round-the-clock hospital stays in a crisis. On average BWAR spends around $17,000 each month for medical care alone.
Every day dogs and cats come to us in desperate need. Your donation means we can help them.
Brother Wolf Animal Rescue exists solely on donations, and we often take in those animals that others will not: the old and the ill, the young and the vulnerable. They stay with us and receive the love, respect, medical care and behavior rehabilitation they need to ready them for a new home. Today, we need you to stand up for our special needs friends.
Squeaky and his siblings came to BWAR from a neighboring shelter, along with their mother, to get the care they needed to treat demodectic mange. They were losing hair and had very red, itchy skin. Treatment can take many months of oral medication and medicated baths. Today the puppies and their mother are receiving the care they need to fight this unsightly but treatable skin condition and go on to find loving homes. Underneath the rough exterior of these amazing creatures is a loving and grateful being who just wants belly rubs and to chase a ball like any other dog.
Trixie underwent exploratory surgery to remove a mass on her side. Thankfully it was not a tumor as we feared, but disturbingly the veterinarian discovered that sweet Trixie had been shot! The bullet embedded under her skin was removed and this brave girl healed completely in a foster home before coming to our Adoption Center to find her forever home. She's a staff and volunteer favorite and we can't wait until her new family comes along!
Please support our "Help Me Heal" Fund for animals with special needs. We can save these precious lives, but only with your help.
