Brother Wolf Animal Rescue evolved as an organization to help abandoned and homeless animals find their forever, loving homes. We work with shelters by taking in dogs and cats who's "time is up", who are on the list to be euthanized. Often, this means scrambling to find the space to "squeeze in" one more dog or cat!
We also work with the public who have animals they are no longer able to keep, or find a stray they need help with. Through a series of foster homes, the dogs and cats are sheltered and cared for until we can adopt them out to their forever homes.
We struggle on a daily basis to pay for vet care, dog and cat food, heartworm and flea medication, vaccinations, and toys. We hold a variety of fundraising activities to assist with paying for these needs. If you are able to volunteer or help us with any of these needs, please write to us at P.O. Rabies/vaccination, microchip clinic at Candler Feed and Seed/Moondoggies shopping center, 1263 Smokey Park Hwy, Candler, from 1-4pm.
Stop by our Adoption Center!
You can come to our shelter and adoption center 7 days a week to visit with many cats and dogs looking for homes! Best time to visit is between 9am-7pm. The shelter is located at 31 Glendale Ave, just off of Swannanoa River Rd., between Biltmore Avenue and Tunnel Road. There is a traffic light at Glendale Avenue; turn there. Head 1/2 mile up the road and you'll see the adoption center on your right hand side; it's a big red and green metal building. Call 505-3440 for more info.

Policies
If you are interested in one of our dogs or cats, we require an application, homevisit, and adoption fee. The adoption fee for dogs and puppies is $125 ( adoption fees are increased for purebreeds and dogs with medical needs on a case by case basis). The adoption fee for kittens is $125, and for cats is $100. You may search for adoptable pets using the Petfinder scroll at left. Please note that we have over 140 available cats and dogs, listed alphabetically, and you must scroll down to the bottom to move on to the next page. Avoid Expensive Vet Bills! When you adopt a cat or dog from BWAR, you get a months worth of FREE pet insurance through "Shelter Care". After the first month, you can renew that insurance at reasonable rates. You can get more information at http://www.sheltercare.com .
