"Dear Staff,

 
This is a thank you and Happy New Year wish from "Codi, aka "Lily,"who was adopted in August of 2010. She was a thin, malnourished, terrified mother of two pups, an "outside dog" who was afraid of everyone and everything. She had not been on a leash, in a car, in a house; she didn't even know how to run.
 
She would like you to know, that thanks to you, life is wonderful. She tears around our 3 acres with great abandon, sleeps in her den in our bedroom, jumps into the car (or RV) in happy anticipation, and is "pleasingly plump." Her coat is full and fluffy, not thin and dry, and she enjoys strolling through Lowe's and getting lots of attention. She has taught us so much about trust, forgiveness and the power of love. We thank you all for giving her a chance to live, and for giving us a source of much joy. Happy New Year, Brother Wolf!"
