Boone

Lucky and his brother came to Brother Wolf Canine Rescue from a shelter in Georgia, just a day before they were scheduled to be euthanized. Lucky spent several weeks living in a foster home, and was then adopted by a fabulous family who lives in Charlotte.

Here is what Lucky's (who is now named Boone) new family has to say:

"It was July of 2007. I was ready to bring another canine into the family. While in Asheville one weekend, the cover of "Critter" magazine caught my eye as the cutest, sweetest, most PERFECT little guy was gracing its cover. I called and was overjoyed to find out that he was still available!! At first sight I knew that he was "the one"...such a little honey. Lenny, our German Shepherd, that was for years a member of a 3 dog pack, had been without a canine sibling for a few months and his health was starting to deteriorate. Boone came into our home and fit right in without missing a beat...one week later we went on our first family camping trip (2 dogs and 2 little girls who were going on 1 and 3 years old) and Boone did GREAT in the car, GREAT on the drive, GREAT at the campsite - it was incredible!! I have to attribute a lot of his demeanor to his obvious loving foster care provided by Flo and her family. The biggest impact Boone has had in our family has been on Lenny; prior to Boone's arrival, Lenny had begun that descent into older aged German Shepherd wobbliness. Now Lenny is chasing Boone around the back yard like he is a puppy again! Boone is the best medicine we could have EVER gotten for Lenny, and was the missing piece our family needed. Brother Wolf Canine Rescue is a top notch rescue organization and I look forward to spreading their name."

Obviously, a large part of his demeanor is attributible to his foster family :)
