Angelica and Danica
Each pet given the time it needs to find their forever home. When you’re a kitten trying to find a home, being fluffy and adorable is a major plus, but Angelica.
Angelica had tested positive for FIV. Just like HIV in humans, cats with FIV have suppressed immune systems. However, FIV positive cats can live long, healthy lives with just a little extra care. Angelica stayed in a loving foster home for several weeks with her buddy Danica (also FIV positive).
Since testing at a very young age can result in a false positive, after several weeks in fostercare the kittens were retested for FIV. Happily, both came up negative and were quickly adopted! If they had tested positive again, we had no doubt we could still find them the perfect homes.
With the exception of some sanctuaries, very few rescues accept FIV and Feline Leukemia positive kitties. But at Brother Wolf Animal Rescue, we believe each dog or cat is an individual and deserves every chance we can give them to lead of a happy life, regardless of how long it might be.
Thank you for helping us care for special animals like Angelica, who have no where else to turn!
